Ross Wilson

'I've had a hell of a time' laughs Ross Wilson as he announces a national tour based around his 45 year road trip of musical life, titled 'Hell of A Time' after the song he wrote for Jimmy Barnes 1994 album 'Flesh and Wood'.

Following on from the incredible success of the 2 sold out solo career retrospective concerts dubbed '5 Decades of Cool' at the State Theatre in Sydney and the Palais Theatre in St Kilda, Wilson will perform hits from his entire back catalogue of recording, producing and songwriting.

Expect to hear all the classic Daddy Cool staples, “Eagle Rock”, Hi Honey Ho”, Come Back Again”, “Bom Bom” and the radio banned “Baby Let Me Bang Your Box”. Mondo Rock hits such as “Cool World”, “State of The Heart”, “Chemistry”, “No Time”, and “Come said The Boy” come to life when Ross Wilson and the Urban Legends (Eric 'Mondo Rock' McCusker – Guitar & Vocals, John McAll – Piano & Vocals, Chris Paraha – Bass & vocals and Haydn Meggitt – Drums & Vocals) perform with second-to-none delivery.

Ross Wilson solo classics “Living in the Land of Oz” and the 1989 hit “Bed of Nails” recently revived as a TV theme are included along with hit's Ross has written for other singers, including 'A Touch Of Paradise' recorded by John Farnham. A selection of more recent solo outings round out the show including the tour theme 'Hell Of A Time” due for release in 2010 on Ross' forthcoming Nashville recorded CD. Twice inducted in to the ARIA Hall of Fame, Ross Wilson remains one of this country's most respected artists. From Daddy Cool to Mondo Rock, as a solo artist, or as songwriter of A-grade classics such as Eagle Rock and A Touch of Paradise, or producer of the legendary Skyhooks, Jo Jo Zep, The Johnnys and The Screaming Jets, Ross' involvement with success has continued unabated.

As a solo performer and major songwriter he has continued to achieve success and make his mark with his songs being recorded by artists as diverse as Jimmy Barnes, John Farnham, DEF-FX, Custard, Jennifer Rush (EU), Troy Cassar-Daley, You Am I, Keke (Spain), Renee Geyer, Christine Anu, Duane Jarvis (US), Elkie Brooks (UK), Ann Kirkpatrick & Lee Kernaghan, Sovereign, Pleasantville, Beccy Cole, Sonic Jihad, Brett Lee and The Wiggles!

This decade has seen Ross return to regular touring with his crack band The Urban Legends, release four albums, re-form and tour both Daddy Cool and Mondo Rock and become a regular TV talent judge on channel 7's hit show 'It Takes Two' and guest judge on Australian Idol. His 2008 Liberation Blue release 'Tributary' was hailed as 'the best of the 40 albums in the series to date' and he has recorded a new album in Nashville with ex-pat Aussie producer Mark Moffatt (The Saints, Mondo Rock, Yothu Yindi, Split Enz, Keith Urban) due for release in early 2010.
