Owing as much to late 60’s English rock as Chicago Blues, Dr Charlie deliver a fusion of Blues / Swing / and Rock. The interpretation and delivery is unique and powerful. This is a powerhouse unit incorporating authentic Hammond organ sounds of that era (“Whiter shade of Pale”) blended with blues guitar and harmonica to support one of the strongest, most emotive voices currently on the Perth music scene.

Their first recording in 2008, (EP “Three Good Reasons”) received national and international air play, and in 2009 the band are (the only WA) finalists in the prestigious “Australian Blues Music Awards” judged in Goulburn NSW. No small achievement for a band from WA.

In addition to regular work in and around Perth, the band play regularly at the Bridgetown Festival and have been invited to play at the Broadbeach and Himalayan festivals.
