John Lennon Tribute - IMAGINE

When John Lennon was shot, Marcus Cahill wanted to call up the band and offer to be the next Beatle. After all, he knew all the songs backwards. The only problem was that he was only 10 years old at the time. While he never did get to join the Beatles, Cahill is now the next best thing.

Cahill has travelled the world over delivering his outstanding theatre show with his Imagine band, which has been applauded by the thousands of people who see him perform every year, including those at the annual International Beatle Week in Liverpool.

Cahill says “The songs of Lennon helped change the voice of popular music forever. He rescued rock n roll from the doldrums and helped give youth a culture a common voice all in the name of peace and love”.

Marcus has also had the honor of performing for The First Lady of Georgia. Following an outstanding performance at the world’s most famous club “The Cavern”, Marcus was given a personal invitation to perform in Tbilisi, Georgia. John Lennon’s sister Julia Baird is quoted as saying on his website “I heard Marcus singing what I can only describe as John songs, songs that John wrote, sang and loved. He sounds uncannily like John”.
