Charlie McCarthy

Charlie McCarthy is a solo classical and jazz trained violinist/fiddler with 30 years experience.

He performs background classical/jazz/swing/pop standards and his repertory is well suited to enhancing the atmosphere in any venue. He specializes in performing solo violin music at functions including wedding ceremonies, dinners, cocktail hours and receptions and also plays at private parties, restaurants and other events. He also performs with small groups, classical, jazz, singer/songwriter etc.

He has played at shows, weddings, bar and restaurant gigs as a ‘one phone call’ total music solution for all those little functions where a bit of classy live music really enhances the atmosphere. For classical and jazz style acts Charlie can perform unaccompanied or with a small trio as backing – he can cater to your function. Also as an affordable option he can perform all of the above to high quality backing tracks to give the effect of a band performance.

Charlie’s equipment is portable and can interact with a venues existing PA system if required.
