Chasing Calee

Chasing Calee are an acoustic duo featuring Calee and Mike. Chasing Calee cover top 40 and popular artists and also perform Calee’s original songs.

Calee and Mike each have over 15 years of performance experience.

Calee has been performing since age seven through the West End Academy of Dance and Drama. She has performed in Carmina Burana at Her Majesty’s Theatre, Les Miserables at The Perth Concert Hall, The Perth’s International Arts Festival 2004, Carols by Candlelight and Carols by the Swan, State Youth Games and the Telstra Road to Tamworth at the Dowerin Field Day, as well as various weddings and private functions.

Calee performs regularly in high schools encouraging students to make positive life-choices and sharing her love of music. This year she traveled all over the State, from Mandurah to Kununurra, collectively performing for over 2000 young people.

In November 2011 Chasing Calee played for the Dunsborough School Leavers’ Celebrations.

Calee is currently the alternate female vocalist for the Damien Cripps Band and has sung at venues such as The Mustang Bar, The High Road Hotel, The Sail and Anchor and The Castle Hotel.

Mike studied at the Conservatorium of Music undertaking the Advanced Diploma of Contemporary Music and the Bachelor of Jazz course.

Until 2010 Mike was the guitarist for singer/songwriter Claire Clarke, performing for the Australian Defence Force in the Solomon Islands, Rock The Schools 2009, promotional tours including Mornings with Kerri-Anne, performances for the Sydney Million Paws Walk and Earth Hour concerts. With Claire, Mike supported Shannon Noll, Vanessa Amorosi and Kate Miller-Heidke. He featured in two music videos: 'Survive You' and 'Shut Your Mouth and Kiss Me'.

Mike was the guitarist in the Perth productions of Hair and Rent, starring Nikki Webster, Tim Campbell, Anthony Callea and Rob Mills. His work with band Beside Lights saw him play at the Canadian Music Week and support The Vines. As the guitarist for a popular local cover band, Mike has supported INXS, Train and The Baby Animals.
